Book Karin & David Today Sexual Harassment: The Second Most Troubling Part of All These Revelations The most troubling a part of the latest sexual harassment revelations is that they occurred. We are deeply saddened by the fixed parade of allegations and the deep pain being surfaced and resurfaced for so many. No one should feel threatened or demeaned at work. No one should be intimidated by sexual acts. No one should endure in years of silence, humiliation, and disgrace as a result of they had been scared into doing something they regret by someone extra powerful. For us, the second most troubling a part of all these sexual harassment tales is that different people knew what was going on, and did nothing. In the case ofMatt Lauer,whereas we will’t know for certain what occurred, victims report having knowledgeable administration at the time (NBC management maintains no present executives wereaware of previous reviews they usually acted instantly as soon as they had been). We don’t want another policy. Most human beings know right from wrong. We want courage. We must construct cultures where speaking the reality isn't only tolerated, however inspired. We want leaders to steer. To take a stand, even when it’s hard. To acknowledge that selecting self-protection over what’s proper is precisely what perpetuates inexcusable habits, degrades belief, and completely damages relationships and results.
